What Happens During a Root Canal?

The root canal process is split up into two visits: the treatment itself and the restoration of the treated tooth. First, Dr. AJ will access the inner chamber of the tooth to remove the infected pulp and sanitize the area. Then, our team will restore the tooth’s structure with a biocompatible material called gutta percha and place a temporary crown over it. During the second appointment, our team will remove the temporary crown and secure the permanent one over the treated tooth, helping protect it for years to come.
